The Galaxy's Best- Easy Dinner Rolls.

I meant what I said.  These pillowy rolls are so easy to make- no kneading, no letting them rise three times, or any of that nonsense.  They are perfectly fluffy, yeasty, and need no further introduction.  My only stipulation is that you try one hot out of the oven, schmear on some butter, and promptly die and go to heaven.

The Galaxy's Best- Easy Dinner Rolls
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons yeast
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 6 1/2 cups flour
In a small bowl combine the water, sugar, and yeast.  Gently stir and set aside to allow the yeast to activate.

In a large mixing bowl combine the melted butter, eggs, salt, and yeast mixture.  Then add the flour, one cup at a time, mixing between additions.  The dough will be very sticky.  Scrape down the sides, cover with a cloth and set aside until doubled, about 45 minutes to an hour.

Tip: I usually heat my oven to 175 degrees, turn it off, and then put the dough in the oven.  This method has always been fast and flawless for raising dough.

Scrape the dough out of the bowl onto a heavily floured surface--don't knead it- this dough is so sticky you'll need to cover it in flour to be able to flatten it into (2) big round circles--use your hands, not a rolling pin.  The dough is very soft and easy to shape and flatten.  Use a pizza cutter to slice it up into pizza slice shapes, and then roll them up into crescent rolls--start with the fat end of the slice and roll up toward the pointed end.  Makes 24 rolls.

Bake at 400 degrees, 10-12 minutes  Enjoy.
